Stanley Omah Didia comes from a music-rich family, his grandfather was a percussionist for the legendary Highlife singer Celestine Ukwu, and his father played the drums. Omah initially started out as a rapper under the name “Lil King” and a music producer. His big break came in 2020. The same year, he became the first African artist to be featured in Apple Music’s “Up Next” program. Omah Lay’s global recognition grew further in 2022 when he collaborated with Justin Bieber on the track “Attention.” In 2025, he’s worked on two global collaborations, one with fellow Nigerian superstar Davido titled, “With You,” and “Isaka II (6am)” by South African art, Ciza and Tems. Earlier in the year, he hinted at releasing his new album, “Clarity of Mind.” His music often reflects personal experiences, struggles, and emotions, making it relatable to a vast audience. He is an embodiment of numerous achievements.
